历史

阿斯托里亚的历史始于克拉苏特族印第安人，他们在那里居住了数千年。1792年，罗伯特·格雷船长发现了哥伦比亚河的入海口并沿河而上。1805年，刘易斯与克拉克探险队在阿斯托里亚现在的所在地附近的克拉苏特堡度过了冬天。阿斯托里亚城本身直到1811年才被定居，当时约翰·雅各布·阿斯特的太平洋毛皮公司建立了一个毛皮贸易站，使其成为落基山脉以西最古老的美国定居点。

从波特兰来的另一条路是沿着26号美国国道（日落高速公路）向西北方向行驶77英里（124公里）至其在海滨赛德南部的终点，然后继续向北沿101号美国国道进入阿斯托里亚。同样，您可以离开26号美国国道在OR-103（路边出口，距离101号美国国道25.7英里）处，然后向北前往朱厄尔。然后走风景优美的OR-202向北前往阿斯托里亚。在202号公路沿线有一些观景点，在那里可以看到野生麋鹿在草地上休息。202号公路被称为一条特别适合骑摩托车或高性能汽车行驶的道路。202号公路以Cherry Ave的名字进入市区南部，与Youngs River相伴，该河在Smith's Point与101号美国国道汇合。同样，旅客也可以从Cherry沿7th Ave向北进入市区。26号美国国道从波特兰开始是一条六车道高速公路（每向三车道），从四车道高速公路缩窄到OR-6（“通往班克斯，蒂拉穆克”）的两车道道路。向西行驶，通往OR-6的出口在左侧。从OR-6到101号美国国道，26号美国国道在没有红绿灯的情况下以约每小时55英里的速度行驶。但要小心来自两侧交叉路口的车辆进出26号美国国道，并准备好根据需要减速或停车，或根据标志减速。

• Youngs River Falls is a very short hike to a beautiful 45 foot waterfall only 20 minutes from town. Just follow OR-202 south to the Youngs River Loop Road.
