Baidyabati ( वैद्यबाटी Baidyabāṭi) is a town on the western bank of the Hooghly River, in the Hooghly district of West Bengal.

The famous Grand Trunk Road runs through Baidyabati as SH 6. SH 13 acts as a bypass of SH 6 and is a better way to reach Baidyabati if you don't want to follow the now-congested GT Road.

  • Dwarika Bhawan (द्वारিকা ভবন Dbārikā Bhaban). Residence of Madhusudan Gupta, the first anatomist of British India.   • Nimai Tirtha Ghat (নিমাইতীর্থ ঘাট Nimāitīrtha Ghāṭ). A holy ghat along the Hooghly River and a part of the Tarakeswar Yatra (July-August), when pilgrims collect sacred Ganges water from Nimai Tirtha Ghat to offer it to Shiva in Tarakeswar, 39 km (24 mi) west.
