Port Moody (摩迪港) is a city in the Vancouver eastern suburbs (温哥华东郊) of British Columbia (不列颠哥伦比亚省), Canada (加拿大). Set on the eastern end of the Burrard Inlet, it has some fine waterfront property. It's primarily a residential community, just close enough to commute to Vancouver (温哥华) for work. High-rise developments on the water, such as NewPort Village, have also spurred retail and entertainment districts.

The Barnett Highway (巴尼特公路) (Highway 7A) leads in from Burnaby (本拿比) and Vancouver (温哥华) from the west and on to Coquitlam (高贵林) and eventually Pitt Meadows (匹特草原) and Maple Ridge (枫树岭). From the Trans-Canada Highway (横加公路) (Highway 1), it's often quickest to take Gaglardi Way (exit 37) to Como Lake Rd and then make a left on to Clarke Rd.

There are two stations in Port Moody (摩迪港)

The West Coast Express (西海岸特快) operates Monday to Friday with trains heading westbound in the morning and eastbound in the afternoon. The trains stop from furthest west to furthest east in Vancouver (温哥华), Port Moody (摩迪港), Coquitlam (高贵林), Port Coquitlam (高贵林港), Pitt Meadows (匹特草原). Maple Ridge (枫树岭), and Mission (使命).

• Most Port Moody (摩迪港) bus routes connect with the SkyTrain's Millennium Line (千禧线) at Moody Centre station. Notable bus routes serving Port Moody (摩迪港) include the following, which all operate daily, unless otherwise noted
  • 150 - Between Coquitlam Central station (SkyTrain Millennium Line) and White Pine Beach. Operates June to early September.
  • 160 - Between Port Coquitlam station (West Coast Express) and Kootenay Loop in Vancouver (温哥华), stopping along the way in Coquitlam (高贵林), Port Moody (摩迪港), and Burnaby (本拿比). Operates along St. John's St and the Barnett Highway to Burnaby.
  • 179 - Between Coquitlam Central station (SkyTrain Millennium Line) and Buntzen Lake. Stops at the lake's beach area parking lot, adjacent to the lake. Operates June to early September.
  • 182 - Between Moody Centre station (SkyTrain Millennium Line and West Coast Express) and Belcarra with stops in Anmore. Stops 700 m from the south end of Buntzen Lake and 300 m from the south end of Sasamat Lake.

  Pier at Rocky Point Park (落基角公园的码头)

The main attraction of these villages is two large adjacent parks with hiking, sandy beaches, swimming and some great views. To get the villages and the parks by car head north on Ioco Rd or take TransLink bus route 182.

Buntzen Lake Recreational Area (布恩岑湖休闲区) (located at the northern end of Sunnyside Rd in Anmore (位于安莫尔的Sunnyside路北端)). daily 8 AM until gates close at 8PM in summer or dusk at other times (夏季每日上午8点至晚上8点关闭，其他时间则至日落). Buntzen Lake is a hydroelectric reservoir and is open to the public as a park. This park is a great spot to hang out for a day. You can just relax and hang out on the beach, BBQ and admire the scenery or do something and take advantage of the lake and trails. The park is very popular with locals and if you plan to drive in on a sunny weekend, it's best to arrive by 11AM/noon as the parking lot fills up fast. It has a beach and several hiking trails. One of the most popular activities are the excellent day hikes (徒步), ranging from 45 mins to the Dilly Dally loop, which is a 10-12 hour hike. The most popular trail is the7 Buntzen Lake Trail，一条环绕湖泊的起伏步道（约8 公里）。8 Dias Vistas Trail 更具挑战性，但在晴天时，从山脊顶可以欣赏到一些美景。

There are a few buildings around the lake, a couple of abandoned houses towards the north end, one which was built for a movie. Otherwise, buildings are property of BC Hydro, who use the lake for power generation, and should not be entered. Please note parking at Buntzen Lake is limited and there is no street parking on nearby streets or at the nearby trailer park. Illegally parked cars are likely to be towed. Some residents close to the lake allow people to pay to park on their lawns or driveway.
