Springsure is a small town of 950 (2021) on the A7 highway in Central Queensland. Between Emerald and Roma, it is the largest town in the 400-km section of highway.

[]Springsure is only accessible by car. No coach routes operate along this section of the A7.
From Rolleston, Springsure is a 50-minute drive (~71 公里 (44 英里)) northwest on the Dawson Highway. The highway ends here and continues north of Springsure as the Gregory Highway.
From Emerald, drive for about 50 minutes south (~68 公里 (42 英里)) south on the Gregory Highway.

A small national park to the northwest of town containing rugged landscape home to plenty of volcanic peaks, sheltered gorges, sheer cliffs, open woodlands and dry rainforest in a small patch of area. It's the remnant of the former Cosgrove volcanic hotspot, which happens to be the largest continental hotspot in the world.
