抵达

This flag was made in 1919 by a young student from Fámjin Jens Oliver Lisberg and his friend Emil Joensen, while they were living in Copenhagen. Lisberg died a few years later. The flag is called Merkið and was recognized as the Faroese flag in 1940 by the British government, during the Second World war. The Faroe Islands were occupied by Great Britain while Denmark was occupied by Germany. The Faroese flag is celebrated every year on the 25 April in Fámjin as well as in other villages and town around the country. You can contact the Tourist Information Centre in Tvøroyri, if you wish to visit the church in Fámjin. 
• 牧师峡谷 (Prestgjógv), Fámjin, Faroe Islands (穿过村庄，沿着海滨的主要道路走。当道路结束时，您会看到 Prestgjógv。). Prestgjógv 是法姆金村外一个美丽的地方，在村庄以北一点。垂直的悬崖和拍打的海浪离村庄仅几步之遥。

Contact the local Tourist Information if you wish to visit the museum, it is open on request and on Sunday afternoon 13:00-15:00. 

瓦格尔

Ruth Smith (1913-1958) was born in Vágur and grew up here too. Later she moved to Denmark, where she studied art. She is famous in several countries. Every second Friday night between 20:00-21:00 in summertime and by appointment for groups at other hours (2010, this may change, more info on their website). More info on the website siging.info or on visitsuduroy.fo. The rappelling is on a beautiful cliff, which is called Norðbergseiði. The sea cliff is west of the village Hvalba. The price is for rappelling only (2010). If a boat trip is included it will cost 100 kr more (2010). 300 kr.

• Torgið - 苏德岛购物中心 (Torgið - Handilsstaðið í Suðuroy), Vágsvegur 62 (in the center of Vágur on the main road, opposite of a shipyard, a few hundred metres west of the church), ☏ +298 612096. This is the only shopping center in the island Suðuroy. There are two floors with a few shops, on the ground floor there is: a Samkeyp supermarket, a shop with sweets and bakeries and a café. The tables are in the hall, you can buy coffee and cakes from the shop to the right on the ground floor. There are also toilets on the ground floor. On the second floor there are two-three shops, where you can buy: homeware, glassware, kitchen accessories, bathroom accessories, clothing, Sirri (Faroese design, wool wear).

Fámjin

On the 2nd floor are 7 single rooms, kitchen and sitting room with television and radio, three toilets and three bathrooms with shower. There is wireless internet in the Guesthouse Miðbrekkan. 
• Guesthouse undir Heygnum (Gistingarhúsið undir Heygnum), Undir Heygnum 32 (Tvøroyri. Around 200 m from the center of the town. The mainroad splits into two roads, take the right one, where the farmacy is and continue strait ahead a few hundred metres.), ☏ +298 372046, guesthouse@kallnet.fo. The Guesthouse undir Heygnum is near the centre of Tvøroyri, it takes just 5 min. to walk to shops, restaurants, museums etc. The guesthouse has beautiful surroundings and its own boat bridge and boat. Safety equipment and fishing equipment is available, BBQ is also available. The owner is a retired skipper; he might take you on a boat trip, if he finds the time. He is also the owner of a nice café in Fámjin, and he might take you there or he could tell you how to get there. The guesthouse has three floors, and it has 9 bedrooms: Two double, 5 twin, 1 triple and one single room. Toilets and showers are shared; there are two on the top floor, one on the 1st floor and 1 on the ground floor. Most of the rooms have sea view. There is a nice terrace around the guesthouse. On the 1st floor there is a large kitchen with dining table and a nice living room with TV set with many channels. There is a television in all the rooms with the local Faroese channel. Wireless internet is available. Laundry is on the ground floor (self service). There is no staff in the guesthouse, but the owners live nearby.

• 童子军之家 (Skótahúsið í Vági), Geilin 103 (Vágur. A bit difficult to find. Geilin is one of the streets which is up on the mountain side, just below the park. The street is a dead end, you must drive from east, find the street Geilin and continue towards west until the street ends.), ☏ +298 574865. The Scouts house is for groups or for individuals, who don't wish much comfort and wish to travel on a low budget. There is one large room on the ground floor and a few smaller rooms on the 1st floor, where 1-2 persons can sleep. There are no beds, only mattresses. You need to bring a sleeping bag with you. There are kitchen and toilet/bathroom facilities. You can also camp outside the Scouts House. 100 kr.
