英语的国家方言
[]Wikivoyage 不偏好任何主要的英语国家方言。美式英语和英式英语在词汇（truck vs. lorry）、拼写（center vs. centre）、日期格式（“April 13” vs. “13 April”）以及极少数的语法表面上存在差异。印度、爱尔兰、新西兰、巴基斯坦、新加坡和南非的英语在拼写上几乎与英式英语相同，加拿大和澳大利亚也大多使用这些拼写。这些变体通常统称为英联邦英语。
有些词是某个方言特有的；在这种情况下，在第一次出现时立即用括号注明其含义或在另一种方言中的对应词会很有用（“some drivers charge extra for the use of the trunk (boot) of their cabs”）。这里，trunk 和 boot 在某些方言中可能不为人知，尽管 cab 和 taxi 在各地可能都广为人知，无需解释。

Cafe vs. café
